Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 To strengthen me 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 when thy sister went out, saying, "Shall I point you to one to have charge of him?" So We returned thee to thy mother that she might rejoice, and not sorrow. Then thou slewest; a living soul, and We delivered thee out of grief, and We tried thee with many trials. Many years among the people of Midian thou didst sojourn, then camest hither, Moses, according to a decree. 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 [Pharaoh] said, "Then what is the case of the former generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
