The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the night when it covers 1 and the day in splendour 2 and by Him Who created the male and the female: 3 Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And believes in the best [reward], 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 for him shall We make easy the path towards hardship: 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 and, behold, Ours is [the dominion over] the life to come as well as [over] this earlier part [of your life]: 13 Now I have warned you of a Fire that flames, 14 None shall enter it but the most unhappy, 15 He who denieth and turneth away. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, 19 But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; 20 He will surely be well-pleased (with him). 21
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
