The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So respite the unbelievers; delay with them awhile. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
