The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 who give charity, 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 (Prosperous are those) who preserve their trusts and pledges 8 to their promise, 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
