Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Waiting for their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
