T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family, "Wait here. I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a brand from it, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 That We may show thee (some) of Our greater portents, 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
