And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
