The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again) 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And will say, “O our misfortune!” It will be said to them, “This is the Day of Justice.” 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
