and We delivered the Children of Israel from the humbling chastisement, 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Yet these say: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if what you say is true' 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
