Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 (If a dying soul) is of those near to God, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting in a Blaze. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
