The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
