Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
