Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5
True are the words of God the Almighty.
