And indeed, We created man from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 And recall when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 then the angels all prostrated themselves together. 30 Except Iblis (Satan); he refused to be among those who prostrated. 31 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What happened to you that you stayed apart from those who prostrated?” 32 [Iblis] replied: "It is not for me to prostrate myself before mortal man whom Thou hast created out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted!" 33 He said: Then go thou forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast. 34 "And the curse shall be on thee till the day of Judgment." 35 Satan said, "O my Lord! Grant me respite till the Day of Resurrection." 36 Allah said: "For sure you are granted respite 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 And verily Hell is the place promised unto them all. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
