The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 and clearly tell the unbelievers: "I am most certainly a plain warner," 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
