Al-Najm 3 of 3
HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
