The tribe of Ad rejected the Messengers. 123 When their brother Hud said unto them: fear ye not? 124 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 125 So fear Allah and obey me. 126 I seek of you no reward for this; my reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 127 Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves, 128 and do you take to you castles, haply to dwell forever? 129 "And when you seize, seize you as tyrants? 130 “Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” 131 "And keep your duty to Him, fear Him Who has aided you with all (good things) that you know. 132 He has given you cattle, children, 133 And gardens and watersprings. 134 “Indeed I fear upon you the punishment of a Great Day.” 135 They said, “It is the same for us, whether you advise us or not be of the preachers.” 136 This is naught but a custom of the ancients; 137 and we shall never be punished' 138 Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 139 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 140

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
