Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
