The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven bursts asunder, 1 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed; 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and throws out of itself all that it contains 4 and hearkens to the command of its Lord, doing what it should. 5 [then,] O man - thou [that] hast, verily, been toiling towards thy Sustainer in painful toil - then shalt thou meet Him! 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 He surely will receive an easy reckoning, 8 And he will turn to his people, rejoicing! 9 And as to him who shall be given his book from behind his back 10 He will cry out for destruction 11 and roast at the Blaze. 12 They lived among their people joyfully 13 Verily, he thought that he would never come back (to Us)! 14 Surely yes, why not? Indeed his Lord is seeing him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 The Night and its Homing; 17 by the moon, in its fullness 18 Surely ye shall ride layer upon layer. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 and when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate themselves? ۩ 21 Indeed, those who are bent on denying the truth reject it -- 22 And Allah well knows what they conceal in their hearts. 23 So announce to them a painful punishment~ 24 except to those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for theirs is an unfailing recompense. 25
