The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The Calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 A day wherein mankind will be as thickly-scattered moths 4 And mountains will be like flying wool. 5 Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy, 6 Will be in a life of good pleasure and satisfaction. 7 But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,- 8 His refuge will be an abyss. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 A fire hotly burning! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
