۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 “And indeed we are an alert army.” 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
