And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba, and those who had lived before them, whom We destroyed as they were sinners? 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 save him upon whom God has mercy; He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 42
