The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Their reckoning draweth nigh for mankind, while they turn away in heedlessness. 1 Whenever any fresh admonition comes to them from their Lord, they listen to it, but do not take it seriously; 2 Their minds are lost in frivolous pastimes; and the evil-doers discuss secretly: "Is he not but only a man like you? Then why are you taken in by magic seeingly?" 3 He (Muhammad SAW) said: "My Lord knows (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower." 4 Some say, "These are his confused dreams." Others say, "He has invented it himself," and yet others say, "He is a poet. Let him bring us a sign as previous messengers did." 5 (As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe? 6 And We sent not before thee but men unto whom We revealed; so ask the people of the admonition if ye know not. 7 Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death. 8 Then We fulfilled the promise We had made to them: We rescued them and those whom We wished, and We destroyed those who exceeded all bounds. 9 Now We have revealed unto you a Scripture wherein is your Reminder. Have ye then no sense? 10
