Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 When I have shaped him, and breathed My spirit in him, fall you down, bowing before him!' 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets – peace and blessings be upon them – is blasphemy.) 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 for an appointed time". 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
