The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Koran. 2 has created man, 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 That ye exceed not the measure, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the lofty ships, that rear aloft on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
