O (you) Messengers! Eat of the Taiyibat [all kinds of Halal (legal) foods which Allah has made legal (meat of slaughtered eatable animals, milk products, fats, vegetables, fruits, etc.)], and do righteous deeds. Verily! I am Well-Acquainted with what you do. 51 And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 But leave them alone, lost in their ignorance, until a [future] time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We provide them with the means of competing with each other in virtuous deeds, but they do not realize this. 56 Verily those who for fear of their Lord are in awe. 57 Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are heedless of this. Moreover, there are other deeds besides this which they do. 63 But when We will strike with torment those (unbelievers) who are rich, they will start to cry for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 But those who believe not in the Hereafter turn away from the straight path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And indeed We seized them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they invoke (Allah) with submission to Him. 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
