The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth is shaken up convulsively, 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 they who were [always] drawn close unto God! 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 a large group of the early believers, 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 with fruits of their own choice 20 And meat of birds that they may wish. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 28 And clustered plantains, 29 And extended shade, 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For those of the right hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
