The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The Calamity! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 The day when men will be like scattered moths. 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 but he whose scales weigh lighter, 8 will have hawiyah as their dwelling. 9 Ah, what will convey unto thee what she is! - 10 A Fire vehemently hot! 11
