And if they deny you, [O Muhammad], then say, "For me are my deeds, and for you are your deeds. You are disassociated from what I do, and I am disassociated from what you do." 41 And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear, although they will not use reason? 42 And of them some look towards you; will you, then, guide the blind, even though they can see nothing? 43 Surely God does not wrong anyone; they wrong themselves. 44 And on the day when He will raise all of them together, as if they had never stayed on earth except for a moment during the day, they will recognise one another; for completely ruined are those who denied the meeting with Allah and were not on guidance. 45 And whether We shew thee some of that which We have promised them, or We cause thee to die, unto us is their return, and Allah is witness of that which they do. 46 And every nation had an apostle; so when their apostle came, the matter was decided between them with justice and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 47 They say, "When will this promise come to pass -- if you speak the truth?" 48 Say: I have no power to hurt or benefit myself, save that which Allah willeth. For every nation there is an appointed time. When their time cometh, then they cannot put it off an hour, nor hasten (it). 49 Say, “What is your opinion – if His punishment comes upon you at night or during the day, so what is there in it for which the guilty are being hasty?” 50 And when it comes to pass, will you believe in it? What! now (you believe), and already you wished to have it hastened on. 51 Then it will be said to them who wronged themselves: "Taste you the everlasting torment! Are you recompensed (aught) save what you used to earn?" 52 And they ask you: Is that true? Say: Aye! by my Lord! it is most surely the truth, and you will not escape. 53
