(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
