And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Do you not see that even if We give them respite for years 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
