The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He created man 3 He has taught him speech (and intelligence). 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and grain growing tall on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain you men and jinn then deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 and yet there is a barrier between them which they may not overstep. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
