Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
