Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! we have heard a marvellous Qur'an, 1 'It gives guidance to the Right, and we have believed therein: we shall not join (in worship) any (gods) with our Lord. 2 And that He-- exalted be the majesty of our Lord-- has not taken a consort, nor a son: 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 "Certain human beings sought refuge with certain jinn and this increased the rebelliousness of those jinn. 6 and that “they thought, even as you thought, that Allah would never raise anyone (as a Messenger)”; 7 And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors. 8 We sat in observatories to listen; but any one who listened found a shooting star in wait for him. 9 and that “we do not know whether evil is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends to direct them to the Right Way”; 10 And among us there are righteous folk and among us there are far from that. We are sects having different rules. 11 'But we think that we can by no means frustrate Allah throughout the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 When we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whosoever believes in his Lord, he shall fear neither paltriness nor vileness. 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 And had they kept to the path surely We would have watered them with rain plenteous. 16 so as to test them by this means: for he who shall turn away from the remembrance of his Sustainer, him will He cause to undergo suffering most grievous. 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
