Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! 5

Almighty God's Truth.
