Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
