The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
