It was He who produced for you hearing, eyes, and hearts, yet little is that you thank. 78 It was He who scattered you on the earth, and before Him you shall be gathered. 79 And He it is who grants life and deals death; and to Him is due the alternation of night and day. Will you not, then, use your reason? 80 But nay, they speak as the people of olden times did speak: 81 They say: What! When we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be raised? 82 We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples." 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will say, God's.' Say: 'Will you not then remember?' 85 Say: "Who is it that sustains the seven heavens and is enthroned in His awesome almightiness?" 86 They will say: 'Allah' Say: 'Will you not be cautious' 87 Say thou: in whose hands is the governance of everything, and who sheltereth but from whom none is sheltered, if ye know? 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 We have revealed to them the truth. But they are certainly liars. 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
