The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
