Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
O THOU human being! 1 By the wise Qur'an. 2 you are truly among the Messengers, 3 upon the straight path. 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 Surely most of them merit the decree of chastisement; so they do not believe. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 It is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them for they shall not believe. 10 You warn only him who follows the advice and fears the Most Gracious without seeing; therefore give him glad tidings of forgiveness and an honourable reward. 11 Verily, We shall indeed bring the dead back to life; and We shall record whatever [deeds] they have sent ahead, and the traces [of good and evil] which they have left behind: for of all things do We take account in a record clear. 12
