The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
