Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 Surely its collection and recitation are Our responsibility. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
