Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
