Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 And surely what comes after is better for you than that which has gone before. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And as for him who asks, do not chide (him), 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
