And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 from Pharaoh; surely he was a high One, of the prodigals; 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly!' 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 42
