And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45). 30 You are not able to frustrate Him in the earth; and, apart from God, you have neither protector nor helper. 31 And of His portents are the ships, like banners on the sea; 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much. 34 He knows all those who dispute His revelations. They will find no way to escape from (His torment). 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 who refrain from heinous sins and gross indecencies; who forgive when they are angry; 37 and those who answer their Lord, and perform the prayer, their affair being counsel between them, and they expend of that We have provided them, 38 And those who defend themselves when they are wronged. 39 And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah. Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers. 40 And whosoever harms after he has been harmed there is no blame upon them. 41 The blame is only against those who wrong people, and are wrongfully insolent in the earth, for them there is a painful punishment. 42 And whoever is patient and forgiving, these most surely are actions due to courage. 43
