The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And those who govern the event, 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
