The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 - The piercing Star! 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I plot a plot (against them). 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
