Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 Aye! man desireth that he may sin before him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon darkens 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Even though he were to put up his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 for, behold, it is for Us to gather it [in thy heart,] and to cause it to be read [as it ought to be read]. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
