Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
